How to Pick a Venue

With so many venues to chose from, how do you narrow it down?  There are the obvious points to consider first which is what city the venue is located, what date do you need or want it for, what your budget is etc?  But here are a couple of other things to consider as well:

lane2Many facilities already have exclusive caterers so before you get attached to a caterer, find out if the venues you are considering have exclusive deals, approved providers or are open for your choice of caterer.

What is the parking situation?  Is it free for your guests or patrons or will they have to pay to park?  This can make or break a tradeshow or create a lot of grief for your guests if they don’t know this ahead of time.

And last but certainly not least, how does the venue feel to you?  It has to jive with your vision for your event or show because if it doesn’t then the entire process may go awry.
