Potluck in the Park – Serving the community since 1991

Potluck has been serving a free hot meal to anyone in need since 1991. Rain or shine, 52 weeks a year, Potluck in the Park provides a hot meal, every Sunday, at O’Bryant Square in downtown Portland. Four hundred to six hundred Portlanders do not go hungry on Sunday because of Potluck in the Park. It is only because of the generosity of volunteers and donations from people like you that the Potluck community continues to provide a meal to those in need.

Bravo! Live to Host Qualified Planners from Out of State - August 30, 2012

Bravo! live, now in its 17th year and the state’s largest event and meeting industry trade show, announced that it will be hosting qualified planners from outside of Oregon in conjunction with this year’s Bravo! live event, scheduled for October 24th at the Oregon Convention Center.

“Everything that Bravo! live attendees love about the show will be back,” May Lou Burton, owner of Bravo! wedding & event stated. “This year we are inviting pre-qualified planners from out-of-state to come experience all that Oregon has to offer and meet the vendors face-to-face that will make their next event unforgettable!”

Planners will be hosted the night of October 23rd at Hotel deLuxe, a downtown Portland hotel and will re-introduce Oregon as the fresh, unique location the entire country has been watching on television shows, such as Leverage, Portlandia and Grimm. A contemporary tribute to the Golden Era of Hollywood filmmaking, Hotel deLuxe tastefully balances art deco and art moderne styles for a mix of timeless sophistication and serene comfort.

Bravo! has partnered with Travel Portland, Travel Oregon, Meeting Professionals International – Oregon Chapter (MPI-OC) and International Special Events Society (ISES) to educate out-of-state planners about Oregon’s edge on the sustainability movement. Bringing out-of-state planners to Bravo! live makes it easier for planners to meet local venues, caterers, decor companies under one roof, rather than spending time driving to different locations for multiple meetings. Meeting Planners VIP Night at Portland International Raceway - July 20, 2012

PIR is hosting a special event in order to give event planners the chance to learn about the venue and its unique offerings. PIR offers residents and people from throughout the region a place to play — with cars, motorcycles, bicycles and so much more — a compact 300-acre park setting filled with wetlands and wildlife.

You are invited to attend the special VIP Evening at Portland International Raceway during an upcoming Wednesday night Beaches Cruise-In and Drag Racing event.  If you haven’t been to PIR, this will be a great opportunity to see and learn about this very unique outdoor event venue. Walk around in a beautiful park-like setting and view over 1,000 classic and specialty cars that will be on display by their owners. Food and beverages will be provided in a special VIP tented area and enjoy live music performed by local Portland music icon Patrick Lamb. You will also have a chance to win several fun Door Prizes.
