Mary Lou’s second oldest son just graduated from high school this past week. They wanted to have a small gathering with family and close friends and not have to worry about planning the celebration.  With a simple phone call to Busy Bee Catering the menu was planned. They opted for a brunch theme and were treated to cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, egg dishes and much more.

 Busy Bee Catering is located in Welches, Oregon and will deliver to your venue or you can pick up from their location. They have a large selection of appetizers, entrees, salads, vegetarian dishes and desserts. Their warehouse is filled with props, linens, dishware, tables & chairs and much more! They have a product catalog online to make selecting items easy.

West Coast has merged with Shaka-sound and will now be able to provide top quality sound at weddings and events. They are able to provide great sound for your event using professional equipment.

Gourmet Productions in Lake Oswego is holding a food drive this week for the Oregon Food Bank in an effort to fight hunger on a local level and bring awareness to this worldwide social concern. Gourmet Productions’ chefs are creating a special market menu for the week to include many culinary delights from around the world to get customers thinking about hunger in other countries and perhaps a growl in their own tummy.

Amadeus Manor-Voted Portland’s Most Romantic Restaurant - April 8, 2011

Amadeus Manor

This beautiful former four-story home was finished in 1921 and named the Fernwood Manor.  Mr Aebi, a Swiss-born chef bought the house is 1943 and moved his family in. In 1961 when he became ill, the family turned it into a Dinner House. After his passing, his wife maintained it until 1974 when 2 restaurateurs purchased the building and renamed it the Fernwood Inn. The current owner, Kristina Poppmeier, an Austrian native purchased it in 1994 and named it Amadeus at the Fernwood.

Amadeus has been voted Portland’s Most Romantic Restaurant with beautiful views overlooking the river. Amadeus Manor is located at 2122 SE Sparrow, Milwaukie and is open for happy hour Tuesday-Friday from 4:30-6:30pm. They also offer an “Early Bird Dinner” for $9.95 on Tues.-Fri. from 5-6:30pm.

Regular dinner seating begins at 5pm Tuesday-Sunday nights. Amadeus is known for their fantastic Sunday Brunch from 10am-2pm.

Events & Weddings: Amadeus can hold up to 300 people and has both indoor and outdoor seating options.  They offer full course buffet-style dinners and a full bar.
