Bravo! Live to Host Qualified Planners from Out of State - August 30, 2012

Bravo! live, now in its 17th year and the state’s largest event and meeting industry trade show, announced that it will be hosting qualified planners from outside of Oregon in conjunction with this year’s Bravo! live event, scheduled for October 24th at the Oregon Convention Center.

“Everything that Bravo! live attendees love about the show will be back,” May Lou Burton, owner of Bravo! wedding & event stated. “This year we are inviting pre-qualified planners from out-of-state to come experience all that Oregon has to offer and meet the vendors face-to-face that will make their next event unforgettable!”

Planners will be hosted the night of October 23rd at Hotel deLuxe, a downtown Portland hotel and will re-introduce Oregon as the fresh, unique location the entire country has been watching on television shows, such as Leverage, Portlandia and Grimm. A contemporary tribute to the Golden Era of Hollywood filmmaking, Hotel deLuxe tastefully balances art deco and art moderne styles for a mix of timeless sophistication and serene comfort.

Bravo! has partnered with Travel Portland, Travel Oregon, Meeting Professionals International – Oregon Chapter (MPI-OC) and International Special Events Society (ISES) to educate out-of-state planners about Oregon’s edge on the sustainability movement. Bravo! has once again partnered with local business sponsors Class Act Event Coordinators, Travel Salem and Salem Conference Center to produce the second annual Willamette Valley Event Showcase of the Hospitality & Meeting Industry. This event features top local area businesses in the event industry under one roof for qualified planners to interview for their upcoming events.

“We are so looking forward to having the BRAVO! Willamette Valley Showcase at the Salem Conference Center for the second year. The first year was such a great success and this is such a wonderful opportunity for conference, meeting and event planners to come experience what our region has to offer,” stated Debbie McCune, Vice President of Travel Salem.

Evidence has indicated that more money is being spent on hospitality. According to the State of Oregon’s Office of Economic Analysis, “leisure and hospitality, after suffering greatly throughout the recession, had a nice bounce back in 2011 and into early 2012.”
