Black Friday Beer Fest at Big Al’s Vancouver & Progress Ridge - November 22, 2011

Big Al’s officially announces it will be hosting Black Friday Beer Fest at both their Vancouver AND Beaverton locations November 25th (12pm 7pm) & November 26th (11am 8pm) in 2011.

The lively festival in 2010 featured Big Al’s Vancouver exclusively and was just a single day event. Due to overwhelming positive response from guests and community partners involved, Big Al’s has decided to expand the festival into a two day event at both their entertainment facilities. Black Friday Beer Fest offers Portlanders a first taste of the new winter seasonal beers in a festival setting, while serving Vancouver as it’s one & only winter beer festival. There will be an array of the most popular winter seasonals such as Sierra Nevada Celebration, Ninkasi Sleigher, and Alaskan Smoked Porter.  As well as some hard to find local favorites carrying much more of a passionate Œcult following such as Deschutes Abyss and Widmer Brrrbon.

Big Al’s has brought in festival tents with walls and heaters, along with a stage for Live Music Friday evening to add to the festival atmosphere. Saturday, however, it’s about beer and ball.  The big screen TV’s will roll out for Rivalry Saturday and a Civil War/Apple Cup experience not to be forgotten. Guests interesting in attending Big Al’s Black Friday Beer Fest can visit ILoveBigAls.com or Big Al’s Facebook pages for more information.

Download your free VIP pass in to the event at facebook.com/BigAlsVancouver or facebook.com/BigAlsProgressRidge.

Stimulate your senses at The Resort at The Mountain - November 2, 2011

See…Smell…Savor…Spa…Stay… The Resort at The Mountain invites guests to stimulate their senses amidst the lush evergreens of the Mt. Hood National Forest’s Huckleberry Wilderness, where guests can enjoy the stunning colors and crisp, cool air of fall.

Here’s what’s happening this month at The Resort:
See what Mt. Hood has to offer this time of year with Guided Gourmet Mushroom Picking, the Wildwood Recreation Nature Walk, Fruit Harvesting along the Fruit Loop, or wine and beer tasting in Hood River.  All of these activities, and more, are offered by The Resort’s Recreation Center.

Smell the seasoning and spice of the holidays at the annual Thanksgiving Day Buffet.  Start a new tradition and leave the cooking and cleanup for someone else.

Savor delicacies from local artisans at the 22nd Annual Holiday Art, Wine & Music Festival, taking place Nov. 19-20.

Spa the way it was meant to be, in and inspired by nature.  The Root and Rock treatment uses the healing benefits of ginger root and heating rock to elevate somatic awareness, while the penetrating heat of the ginger and rock help reduce inflammation and muscle fatigue.  The 100-minute treatment includes therapeutic steam and a cup of hot ginger tea.

Stay at The Resort on any Friday night for just $10, when you stay Thursday night, too.
