Today, I was invited by Susan Crow to attend the YWCA annual lunch- with guest Speaker- Catherine Ryan Hyde.  She is the author of the book “Pay It Forward”, that later became a movie.  This is one of my all time favorites!  The “Pay it Forward” movement has taken off all over the world.  If you have not seen the movie, you need to go rent it!  The story is about a boy who believed in the goodness of human nature, and he set out to change the world.  The YWCA provides services for women and children that are trying to escape domestic violence, plus many other worthy causes.  The money raised helps those in our own backyard.  One of the things that meant most to me today was a quote from Sydney Smith- “It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little.  Do what you can.”
I would like to offer a challenge to all brides, event planners and Bravo! clients to pay it forward.  Three small acts of kindness is all that it takes, a few good deeds can turn into thousands in a short period of time.  Donate $10 to YWCA -  help a stranger carry groceries, volunteer time at a shelter.  This is the ultimate multi-level payout!
